As an approved supplier to the BBC, ITV & SKY, we continue to work closely with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to maintain safe working practice. Stanton Jimmy Jibs supplied by us are tested to comply with LOLER regulations (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) 1998. This also ensures that clear records are kept for kit maintenance.
We use an independent camera crane inspection company to periodically scan the equipment. You can read more about Eddy Current Inspection here. This is above & beyond the LOLER requirements.
All supplied kit is accompanied with a Method Statement and a ʻkit specificʼ Risk Assessment is completed for each shoot. Public Liability Insurance Cover is in place and a policy schedule can be supplied on request. As a matter of course, a Jimmy Jib Technician is included on all quotes. Working together with a technician allows faster and sometimes more dynamic shooting as well as reducing the possible hazards recorded in the Jimmy Jib Risk Assessment and as defined by the Health and Safety Executive.
Holder of The Creative Industries Safety Passport, accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) and recognised as a scheme following The Health & Safety Executive syllabus guidelines as well Creative Skillset’s National Occupational Standards in Health & Safety X2, X3 and X3.5.
